| Voting is a crucial right of all citizens in a free society and everyone who is eligible to vote.
But people must understand how the process of voting works; they must understand their important role in the Democratic process. Finally, they must understand the initiative and the belief system and ideals of each candidate.
The leaders at BlackVoters.org are teaching these critical skills and in the process, pointing Black voters to the ballot box. I applaud this organization for taking an important leap toward seriously addressing the disenfranchisement of Black voters in California.
